Take a train from London to Bourg-Saint-Maurice via Lille

During the winter months, you can travel from London St Pancras International to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, with a simple connection at Lille Europe and head straight to the French Alps without any tricky transfers.

Take the train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice
Set off from London St Pancras International, but be sure to get to the station at our recommended arrival time.
When you get to Lille Europe, head up to the main floor and check the departures board. When you’ve found your platform, head back down to platform level, get on your connecting Eurostar train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
On your way home, just do the trip in reverse on a Saturday or Sunday. But be sure to arrive at least 20 minutes before departure. When you arrive at Lille Europe for your train to London you’ll need to go through border control and security before you board your Eurostar train.

Travelling between Lille and the French Alps
Your train to the French Alps will have something for everyone. If you need to refuel, you can pop to Eurostar Café and grab a snack or drink.
Just be aware that some trains will have a vending machine instead of a full buffet bar. If you want to make sure you have plenty of food and drink with you, we suggest you bring your own.
To keep you connected, you’ll have free onboard wi-fi all the way to the slopes and a plug socket at your seat.
Arriving at Bourg-St-Maurice train station
Your train will arrive at Bourg-St-Maurice station, the terminus for Eurostar Snow and SNCF TGV trains.Â
From here you can connect easily to the surrounding ski resorts. The Les Arcs funicular sits just next to the station and takes around 7 minutes to reach Arc 1600.Â
For Tignes, Val d’Isère, La Rosière or Sainte-Foy, shuttle buses and private transfers depart from the forecourt, and taxis are also available. This makes onward travel quick and straightforward, even without a car.

That depends on which station you jump off at. The journey from London to Bourg-Saint-Maurice takes just under 8 hours and the return journey is 9 hours.

The Eurostar Snow train runs every Saturday and departs early in the morning from Amsterdam Centraal, with stops at Rotterdam Centraal, Antwerpen-Centraal and Brussels-Midi/Zuid. It then arrives at Bourg-Saint-Maurice in the early afternoon.
For the return journey, the Eurostar Snow train leaves every Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning from Bourg-Saint-Maurice and arrives in Brussels and Amsterdam in the evening.
The Eurostar Snow train’s final stop is Bourg-Saint-Maurice. There you’ll find coaches to Val Thorens, Val d'Isère, Courchevel, La Tania, Tignes, Meribel, and Les Menuires. Find out more about the ski resorts.

Between Lille and the French Alps, you’ll also find Eurostar Café on board, but some trains will have a vending machine instead of a full buffet bar.
If you want to make sure you have plenty of food and drink with you, we suggest you bring your own.
Just be aware that you cannot bring more than one 750ml bottle of wine or four 440ml beers or ciders to drink on the train. Some foods also must be fully eaten before arrival at your destination due to EU-UK food restrictions.
