London to Nice - in one single booking

Leaving from St Pancras International you can take the Eurostar to Paris or Lille and continue on to Nice by TGV. Passport and luggage checks are done at the station in the UK before boarding.

Connections in Paris

Once at Gare du Nord, hop on RER line D to Gare de Lyon, it’s direct and takes around 30 minutes. Taxis take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Your ticket will show your TGV carriage and seat number in either 1st or 2nd class. Don’t be surprised if you’re on a double decker for your trip to Nice Ville station, they’re quite common in France.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, the train journey from London to Nice takes 8hrs 58mins. When you view the available tickets, you will be able to see the length of the train journey for each departure time.

Eurostar tickets from London to Nantes can be booked up to 180 days before your return travel date, however, there are a few exceptions depending on engineering work or when you book. Have a look at our booking calendar and available days will show in black while the greyed-out dates are not available for sale just yet.

Get to the station at our recommended arrival time to allow plenty of time to get through border controls and security for your Paris to London train.

The Eurostar travels through the Channel Tunnel at a speed of 100 miles per hour (160kph) although when the train is outside the tunnel it reaches speed of 186 miles per hour (300 kph).
