Take the train to Bordeaux

Hop on Eurostar at St Pancras International and, with no time wasted getting to and hanging around airports, you’ll be on your way south in no time.

Arrive at the station at our recommended arrival time to allow plenty of time to get through border controls and security.

You’ll travel at Paris Gare du Nord, where you’ll connect to Gare Montparnasse to continue on to Bordeaux.

Stretch out in our comfy seats and watch a film or browse the web with free wi-fi and onboard entertainment as you speed to Paris.

There’s plenty of space to stow luggage, both above your seat and at the entrance to your carriage.

With no weight or liquid restrictions, you can bring a picnic or visit Eurostar Café, our bar buffet, when you’re feeling peckish.

Changing stations in Paris

Take Metro 4 towards Mairie de Montrouge, which will take you directly to Montparnasse Bienvenue in approximately 45 minutes.

You’ll be in First or Second Class and your seat and coach number will be on your ticket. There’s an onboard bar buffet and plug sockets in First Class.

You’ll arrive at Bordeaux St-Jean station, not far from the city centre.

Missed your connection because of a delay or cancellation?

You can hop on the next available train (HOTNAT) when travelling on high-speed services which are part of the Railteam alliance.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, the train journey from London to Bordeaux takes 5hrs 55mins. When you view the available tickets, you will be able to see the length of the train journey for each departure time.

Eurostar tickets from London to Bordeaux can be booked up to 180 days before your return travel date, however, there are a few exceptions depending on engineering work or when you book. Have a look at our booking calendar and available days will show in black while the greyed-out dates are not available for sale just yet.
