Departing from Basel SBB train station
Conveniently located in the heart of the city, Basel SBB train station is only a short stroll from many of Basel's top attractions. It's well served by the city's public transport network (BVB), including buses, trams, and regional and international trains.
When to arrive
Please arrive 20 minutes before departure to ensure you have enough time to find the right platform and board the TGV Lyria. Train doors close 2 minutes before departure.

Connecting in Paris between Gare de Lyon and Gare du Nord
Public transport is a practical way to get from Gare de Lyon to Paris Gare du Nord when changing trains. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Here's what to do:
- When you arrive at Gare de Lyon, follow the signs to the RER station located at the far end of Hall 3. Buy a Navigo Easy pass at a ticket machine or a ticket desk. If you want to beat the queues, you can also buy a Metro-Train-RER ticket ahead of your trip using the Île-de-France Mobilités (opens in a new tab)or Bonjour RATP (opens in a new tab) app.
- Follow the signs to RER line D nord (north), and board any RER D train heading north (to Orry la Ville/Coye la Forêt, Goussainville or Villiers le Bel/Gonesse Arnouville).
- Get off the train at Paris Gare du Nord.
- Follow signs for Grandes Lignes.
• If you're travelling to Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany, look for the platform your train will depart from on the departures board. Find your platform and be ready to board your Eurostar train at least 10 minutes before departure.
• If you’re travelling on to the UK, follow signs for 'Hall 2/London departures' up to the first-floor mezzanine. Please ensure you get there well before the ticket gates close – You’ll need to allow plenty of time to go through security and passport control.
Arriving at Brussels-Midi/Zuid
Your train will arrive at Brussels-Midi/Zuid, which is right in the heart of the city. As border checks take place before departure, you can simply hop off the train and leave the station. And to get where you're going, you'll have easy access to the Brussels Métro, tram lines, and a number of bus routes.
