The French capital is more renowned for its butter-rich pastries than its juice bars, yet its coolest neighbourhoods are fast embracing the California-style healthy eating. And the food – naturally – is delicious.
Wild & The Moon55 Rue Charlot, 75003 Paris
New Yorker Emma Sawko is behind this chic, clean-eating canteen in the Marais. Cold-pressed juices and smoothies are a specialty, while the menu is gluten-and dairy-free.
Think acai bowls for breakfast, kale chips for daytime snacking, as well as energy-boosting lunches, including soba noodles, organic veg-packed salads and pink hummus focaccia.

There’s plenty that’s healthy here, but as the name suggests, this stylish place’s raison d’être is to celebrate seasonal produce.
As such, its menu is ever-changing and inspired by recipes from around the world– naan, bo bun, dim sum, falafel – yet finished with typically French finesse.
Klay Saint SauveurKlay Saint Sauveur, 4 bis rue Saint-Sauveur, 75002 Paris
This restaurant is reminiscent of a 1960s American members’ club, with wicker chairs, tropical-themed decor and a glittering central bar.
The food, meanwhile, is fresh, fragrant and perfect for sharing– try the sea bream sashimi, or marinated artichokes. Come lunchtime, it’s all about the ‘superbowls’, ranging from vegan-friendly, veg-packed quinoa to the chia-laced, fruity ‘pink power’.

If you’re still not sold on the idea of vegan cuisine, these are the two restaurants to change your mind.
Choose between tasty pizzas and burgers – made using fresh vegetables, herbs and vegan cheeses – at reasonable prices (mains are never more than €8.50). Then settle into the seating area’s plush pillows for joyfully chilled-out afternoons.

This chic little restaurant tries to preserve food’s natural goodness by focussing on raw and dehydrated ingredients.
The menu is sparse, but dishes such as pickled vegetable tartine, green gazpacho soup and raw cacao ganache are as intriguing as they are palate-tickling.
