General strike in France: revised timetable on 31 January. Find out more

Paris is full of delicious food options, from bistro lunches to pizzerias and healthy eateries. But it can be tricky figuring out where to go and how much to spend especially if you are on a tight budget.

If you find yourself in Marais, then the Au Petit Versailles du Marais boulangerie is worth a visit for its croissants alone. Alternatively, head to La Pâtisserie des Rêves for its delicious pastries.

For lunch, go for a pizza at Restaurant Daroco or a gluten-free option at Biglove Caffè. If you would prefer healthier options; 42 Degres raw food restaurant serves organic and gluten-free food  - all cooked within 42 degrees to keep its nutritional value.

Still stuck on ideas? Here is a selection of places to go.
