Comfort
A spacious and comfortable environment to enjoy your travels
Our tickets are now more flexible than ever before. And from 4 November, you’ll be travelling in our new travel classes Eurostar Standard, Eurostar Plus, or Eurostar Premier.
Travelling in Comfort
Why wait until you arrive to start relaxing? Travelling in Comfort makes getting there part of the fun in a spacious and comfortable environment. There are lots of reasons to travel in our Comfort coaches.
The Comfort travel experience
Travel with more freedom
Bring two bags up to 85cm and one piece of hand luggage for no extra charge and with no weight limits. There are no restrictions on liquids (so bring something bubbly for the journey).
Find out more about our luggage allowances.
Change of plans?
You can now change your ticket as many times as you want with no fee up to one hour before travel, giving you more flexibility. Be aware that if your new ticket costs more, you'll pay the difference. You can also get a refund up to 7 days before travel for a €25 fee.
A connected way to travel
Our fast trains come with fast wi-fi. And in Comfort, you’ll get wi-fi+. That means a faster connection and more data. Sit back and enjoy browsing time or catch up on work as you travel, and recharge your batteries with power sockets at each seat.
Eat, drink, arrive
Travelling at 300km/h can make you hungry. Choose from a range of light bites and hot and cold drinks from Eurostar Café.
Family travel made easy
Our trains and destinations are ideal for getting away with the family.
Children under 12 can travel for a small fee of €40/£35 (excluding seasonal destinations). Kids under four can travel for free, provided they sit on an adult’s lap throughout the journey. To guarantee a seat, you can buy a child fare ticket.
We also have baby changing facilities in coaches 7, 17 and 27 to help you take care of your little ones. See more about travelling with children.
Go greener with Eurostar
Did you know that your carbon footprint from one flight to Paris is the same as making 14 Eurostar journeys?* That’s the equivalent of travelling with us every day for two weeks.
We’re committed to switching entirely to renewable energy in the UK, France and Belgium by 2030. And we’re already using 100% wind power to run our trains in the Netherlands.

*The analysis by EcoRes uses average CO₂ emissions per passenger travelling 1km. The calculations used 2022 internal data from the entire Eurostar-Thalys network (annual consumption of traction electricity, number of passengers transported, number of km travelled by these passengers), and CO₂ emission factors attributed to traction electricity produced in the respective countries crossed. For thermal cars, the emissions factor used is average for a combustion-powered car (averaged fuel) on a long-distance journey at 171gCO₂/km considering 2.2 person per car, taken from the ADEME (French Agency for Ecological Transition) Carbon Base. Calculations for the average CO₂ emissions per passenger for flights used combustion emissions from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) calculator, with additional upstream emissions data (WTT) based on DGAC (direction Générale de l’aviation civile) ratio of 22%. Non-CO₂ effects (condensation trails and cirrus clouds) were not taken into account. More information on eurostar.com.
Calculations taken from an independent study carried out by EcoRes SCRL in July 2023.
