Departing from Amsterdam Centraal
You can take a direct train back to London from Amsterdam Centraal in just 4 hours 09 minutes.
• Get to Amsterdam Centraal at our recommended arrival time to allow plenty of time to get through border controls and security.
• Find the Eurostar departures building at the end of platform 15b. Once there, you’ll need to show your ticket and pass through security before moving to a waiting area.
• To reach the departures building on platform 15b, you’ll need to scan your ticket at the earlier NS ticket gates.
Just so you know, some of our trains might need to stop at Brussels-Midi/Zuid for less than half an hour for border security reasons. This wait is scheduled into your journey time – so you won’t be late. You won’t be able to leave the train during the wait.

Taking an indirect train from Amsterdam to London
If the times of our direct Amsterdam to London trains don’t suit, you can take a Thalys train from Amsterdam Centraal to Brussels-Midi/Zuid instead (it takes 1 hour 52 minutes) and then change on to a Eurostar train from Brussels to London for the remainder of the journey.
Get off the Thalys train in Brussels then find the Eurostar departure area under platforms 1 and 2. When you get there, scan the barcode on your Eurostar ticket at the ticket gates, pass through security and passport control and you’re on your way again.
Arriving at St Pancras International
