Arriving at the station

Once in the departure lounge you'll find shops to buy refreshments for the journey as well as newspapers and magazines.

What’s on board?

You won't be bored on board with Metropolitan magazine and our free onboard entertainment.

You can watch top shows from Amazon Prime, enjoy a film, or two, or get engrossed in a documentary. There are also kid's shows, games and Eurostar Odyssey – a virtual reality adventure on board.

There’s free wi-fi for everyone and a power socket at every seat – so you can keep your devices charged up.

Food and drinks are available from Café Métropole and, if you’re travelling in Standard Premier or Business Premier, you’ll get a complimentary meal.

Children under 16 cannot travel unaccompanied on our direct route to the Netherlands.

Arriving in Amsterdam

Please be sure to keep your ticket handy for arrival. You’ll need to scan it at the NS ticket gates to exit your destination station.

Looking for local information? You’ll find the Amsterdam Tourist Office outside the main entrance to the station in a traditional white wooden Dutch coffee house.

About your return journey

You can now take a direct train back to London from Amsterdam Centraal in just 4 hours 09 minutes. Please arrive at the station 60-75 minutes before your train’s due to leave. Once you’re at the station:

1.    Scan the barcode on your ticket at the NS ticket gates
2.    Follow signs to platform 15b where you’ll find the Eurostar departures area
3.    Once you’re there, our team will check your ticket (ticket checks close 30 minutes before departure)
4.    Then you’ll go through security and passport control
5.    When it’s time to board, use the signs on the platform to find your coach number

Just so you know, some of our trains might need to stop at Brussels-Midi/Zuid for less than half an hour for border security reasons. This wait is scheduled into your journey time – so you won’t be late. You won’t be able to leave the train during the wait.

If the times of our direct trains don’t suit, you can take a Thalys train from Amsterdam Centraal to Brussels-Midi/Zuid. Then, there's a quick change onto a direct Eurostar train from Brussels to St Pancras International.
