Gwendoline Cazenave, CEO
Gwendoline Cazenave has extensive expertise in the rail and wider transport industries. After 20 years of experience in the SNCF Group, where she held key positions in Business, Operations, Strategy and Finance, she was a partner at Olivier Wyman, a strategy consulting firm, between 2020 and 2022. She also has significant expertise in corporate governance, through her non-exec roles at the Union Financière de France, Tallano Technologies and Irish Rail. Gwendoline has also led a number of initiatives within gender equality and social and environmental responsibility.
Gareth Williams, General Secretary & Chief Strategic Partnerships Officer
Gareth joined Eurostar in 2011 from the UK Department for Transport (DfT), bringing with him 20 years' experience in UK government and an in-depth knowledge of the rail industry. Gareth heads up the Legal team and leads on the development and appraisal of Eurostar’s strategic choices and new business proposals, as well as all regulatory matters, working alongside other business functions to advise on issues affecting Eurostar where government legislation or industry regulation is involved. In addition, Gareth serves the Eurostar board as Company Secretary.
Franck Bareilhe
Franck Bareilhe was appointed to the Eurostar Board in April 2022. He began his career at SNCF Group in the 1980s as an Operational Manager and then Safety Trainer in the Paris region for SNCF Infrastructure. After managing interregional trains for SNCF Intercity, in the early 2000s he took over the north-western RER commuter trains in Paris. His international career began in 2009 with SNCF subsidiary Lyria, managing international operations between France and Switzerland. In 2013, Franck joined SNCF Voyages Deutschland as CEO and he is also now SNCF TGV Intercity’s Operations Director for long-distance European trains within the International and Development Division.
Laurence Daziano
Laurence Daziano was appointed to the Eurostar Board in April 2022. She has over 20 years of experience at SNCF and is currently Director Strategy & Legal Affairs within TGV-IC at SNCF Voyageurs. She was formerly in charge of economic Regulation from 2017 to 2020 for SNCF Voyageurs. She also held positions in finance, audit & risks and European affairs in various entities of SNCF Group. Laurence is also a senior lecturer in economics at Sciences Po Paris. Laurence holds a MBA from ESSEC, a diploma from Sciences Po Paris, and a Master of Political Sciences from the Freie Universität Berlin.
