Make your journey from St Pancras International that little bit more seamless with our facial verification technology. From July 2023, SmartCheck will allow you to use the dedicated lane without scanning your ticket. You then only need your passport checked once before entering the departure lounge. It’s just that simple.
Who can use SmartCheck?
Our smart new system is open to Business Premier passengers and Carte Blanche holders.
In which languages is the app available?
At the moment, the SmartCheck enroller app iProov.me (by our partners iProov) is only available in English. However, French and Dutch versions are planned for the future.
How to use SmartCheck
Using our clever new system only takes a few simple steps.
- Install the SmartCheck enroller app iProov.me (by our partners iProov) on your smartphone
- Put in your details when prompted
- Link your tickets in the app
- 24 hours before departure, confirm you’re travelling in the app
What to expect at the station
When you get to St Pancras International, you will need to head to the Business Premier entrance and find the dedicated SmartCheck lane. Then follow these steps.
- Use the SmartCheck entrance
- Use the X-ray machines
- Follow the SmartCheck Lane to French passport control
How we're keeping your data secure
All your information will be stored securely on your smartphone. Once verified, it will only be shared with the ticket gate and passport control systems so that you can travel. It will then be stored for 48 hours and deleted from our systems after you have travelled.
