So, where is Paris Gare du Nord station? You’ll find it in the 10th arrondissement and it’s well connected by local buses, RER and the Paris Metro.

So, how to get from Gare du Nord to central Paris? The connections are easy and straightforward whether you’ve just arrived from London or you’re heading in the other direction.

Arriving at Paris Gare du Nord

You should aim to arrive at Paris Gare du Nord station at the recommended arrival time, giving you plenty of time to board with ease.

  • Head to the Eurostar ticket gates on the first-floor balcony overlooking the main concourse – you should use the escalator opposite platform 17.
  • Simply walk along the balcony to the Eurostar ticket gates.
  • Scan your ticket at the Eurostar ticket gates, where you’ll also have your passport checked.
  • You’ll find the Eurostar departure lounge on the first floor, alongside platform 3 (remember that there isn’t a platform 1 or 2 at Gare du Nord).
  • Here you’ll also find our Business Premier Lounge.
  • Our trains leave from platforms 3, 4, 5 and 6.
  • Use the signs on the platform to find your coach number before boarding. 

Exploring the area around Paris Gare du Nord

Just like anywhere in this wonderful city, the area around the Gare du Nord station is well worth exploring. And of course, you can do it on foot – this is Paris after all.

From the quaint cobbled streets and independent boutiques along the Canal St Martin, the hip new foodie hangouts all starting to spring up across the 10th arrondissement, to Veggietown close by, this is an area packed with Parisian flavour. If you really don’t want to wave goodbye to your Paris adventure, this is the perfect final taste.

Getting there

Paris Gare du Nord is one of Paris’ main train stations (there are six in total) and is conveniently located at the heart of the city. You’ll find the station close to Gare de L’Est in the 10th arrondissement – connected with several urban transport lines, including Paris Metro, RER and local buses.

By train:

By métro, bus and tram:

Paris Gare du Nord Lost Property

When travelling to and from this Paris central train station, it’s important to be aware of the lost property services, should you lose anything of value before boarding your Eurostar train from Paris Gare du Nord.

The SNCF lost property office in Gare du Nord is open from 08:00 to 13:00, then 14:00 to 20:00 (ECT). It is located on level -1 next to the car rental agencies.

Where to go on arrival

Follow the signs for taxi and take the lift or escalator down to the car park, level -1, and the Hertz counter is to the right. It's about a 1-minute walk.
