How do flexible tickets work?

So, you’ve booked a trip but then you’re no longer able to go abroad. Don’t worry, our tickets are now more flexible than ever*. Because we know things can change quickly at the moment.

Here’s how they work across our travel classes:

You can easily rearrange your trip without paying an exchange fee up to 7 days before your departure time.

You can still change your booking within 7 days of your departure time, but you’ll need to pay a £30 non-refundable exchange fee for Standard tickets.

If you’re exchanging your ticket for a more expensive one, you’ll need to pay the difference in fare.

You can easily rearrange your trip without paying an exchange fee up to 7 days before your departure time.

You can still change your booking within 7 days of your departure time, but you’ll need to pay a £40 non-refundable exchange fee for Standard Premier tickets.

If you’re exchanging your ticket for a more expensive one, you’ll need to pay the difference in fare.

Our most flexible travel class allows you to change your tickets free of charge at any point before your journey or claim a refund up to 60 days after your planned departure.

With our boarding guarantee available, if you want to travel at a different time on the same day, we will find you a seat on a train that suits you, even if Business Premier is full.
