Accessible travel for connecting journeys
Everything you need to know about booking assistance on journeys with a connecting train.

Booking assistance on journeys with a connecting train
To make sure you get the assistance you need, please make sure you pre-book assistance at least 24 hours ahead of your journey. You can do this after you’ve bought your tickets.
For trips with connections and transfers please note that assistance should be booked for all legs of your trip. You can book assistance for all legs through the provider of the first part of your journey. Ensure that you allow enough time to transfer, taking into account the provision of the assistance service.
Where connecting trains run to and from different train stations in the same city, assistance cannot be provided for travel between stations. We’d advise making your own arrangements or contacting the local public transport operator for advice.
Read on to find out how to book assistance for a journey where you need to catch a connecting train.
