1. INTRODUCTION

Eurostar International Limited ("Eurostar"), a company governed by English law and registered in England under company no. 02462001, with its registered office at Times House, Bravingtons Walk, London N1 9AW, organises this prize promotion from 18 May 2020 12pm to 10 July 2020 5pm on the Facebook page facebook.com/eurostar (the ”Prize Promotion”).

2.  PARTICIPANTS

Participation in the Prize Promotion is free with no obligation to purchase

The Prize Promotion is open to every adult over 18 years old resident in the UK, with the exception of staff members of Eurostar, as well as the persons who participated in the creation of this Prize Promotion and their family members.

By taking part in the Prize Promotion, the participant declares that they have read, understood and agreed to these conditions. Failure to comply with these conditions will result in exclusion from participation in the Prize Promotion.

One entry per person. No entries will be accepted after the Prize Promotion Period has ended.

Each participant confirms that they have not used the identity of someone else to register for the Prize Promotion.

Any incomplete or inaccurate details shall be considered as null and void and shall prevent the winner from claiming the prize. Participation in the Prize Promotion may be refused if incomplete or incorrect information is provided. The winner hereby authorises all verifications of his/her identity and details provided.

3. HOW TO ENTER

To enter the Prize Promotion, each participant must:

 - view the relevant post on facebook.com/Eurostar, Instagram.com/eurostar or twitter.com/eurostaruk; and

 - provide an answer to the question ‘Who do you want to nominate?’ in the comments.

4. WINNERS

Each week one winner will be drawn at random. Unsuccessful entrants from one week will automatically be re-entered into the draw(s) the following week(s).  

5. THE PRIZES

One winner per week will receive:

- Return Standard Premier Eurostar tickets for two people from London to the Eurostar destination of their choice. Tickets subject to availability and the running of trains. Tickets need to be used by 31 May 2021.

Each winner and their guest must travel together, both on the outward journey and on the return journey. The guest must be aged 18 years or over. Travel insurance is not included. No changes, rebookings or refunds are permissible.

The prize does not include any other expenses, such as accommodation, meals, transfers, or anything not expressly stated to be included in these conditions.

Eurostar International Limited’s Conditions of Carriage apply to all journeys taken on Eurostar trains. The Conditions of Carriage can be found in all Eurostar sales outlets and on eurostar.com.

Each prize has an estimated maximum total value of £500. This estimated value is given by way of a guide only and is subject to change.

The prizes are non-transferable, non-changeable and cannot be paid in cash or in kind.

In the event of force majeure or in circumstances beyond the control of the Eurostar, Eurostar reserves the right to change these conditions and/or to replace the stated prize with a prize of the same value.

Claiming the prize(s)

The winner will be contacted by direct message via the social account used to enter after the draw each week.

The winners must reply to the message within seven (7) days of receipt of the message for the prize to be claimed.

If the winners do not reply within the seven (7) day period, Eurostar reserves the right to award the prize(s) to someone else.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

No provision of these conditions can be interpreted as transferring to the participants and / or winners any rights to the brands, models, features, presentations, copyright or other intellectual property rights belonging to Eurostar.

Participants shall refrain from harming in any manner whatsoever intellectual property rights (trademarks, domain names, copyright, similar rights, sui generis rights of database producers) of Eurostar.

It is not permitted to reproduce, modify, reproduce, publish, modify, or modify any part or all of these conditions, pages of Eurostar’s website in any way, without the prior written permission of Eurostar and / or its partners.

7. LIABILITY

Eurostar has no liability if, following any case of force majeure, or circumstances outside of its control or where circumstances require, the Prize Promotion should be cancelled, curtailed, extended or the conditions are amended, in whole or in part. Participants may not claim any compensation.

Eurostar is not liable for events that happen arising out of this Prize Promotion including internet or other IT issues (e.g. hardware or software faults of any nature (virus, bugs, etc.).

Eurostar may refuse participation in the Prize Promotion in the event of any fraud or attempt at cheating by any participant, by any method whatsoever, including the creation of false identity allowing for multiple Prize Promotion entries.

Eurostar may cancel the Prize Promotion, in whole or in part, if it appears that fraud has taken place, in any form whatsoever. Eurostar reserves the right in such circumstances not to allocate prizes.

Eurostar shall not be held liable for any delay or other problem caused by strikes or problems in the postal service.

Facebook may not under any circumstances be considered as a sponsor and/or organiser of this Prize Promotion and may not be held liable for any claim pertaining to organisation, participation and progress of the Prize Promotion. 

8. PERSONAL DATA

The names of the Prize Promotion winners may be requested on written request within three months of the end of the Prize Promotion Period, such request to be sent to the following address:

Collection of personal data is used for due and proper progress of the Prize Promotion, in particular to contact winners and provide the prizes in an efficient and timely manner. Eurostar will process such personal data in accordance with its privacy policy, available at /uk-en/privacy-policy.

Data collected in relation to the Prize Promotion may be processed for external publicity as set out in these terms and conditions.

Participants shall have a right of access, modification and deletion of personal data collected by Eurostar in relation to the Prize Promotion by emailing data.protection@eurostar.com. Exercising any such right prior to the end of the Prize Promotion shall lead to automatic cancellation of participation by the participant in the Prize Promotion.

9. APPLIED REGULATIONS

The Prize Promotion complies with national rules and legislation applicable in the geographical areas in which the Prize Promotion is organised, and is subject to English law.
