Useful safety information

While Europe’s been quiet over the past few months, we’ve been busy creating a safe space for travel. We’ve made a lot of changes to the travel experience you were used to, ready to welcome you on board again.

Here’s a checklist of things to remember as you prepare for your trip:

  • Download our mobile app and save your digital tickets for a contactless journey. If we don’t have your contact details, please go to the Manage my booking area of our website and give us your mobile number and email address. Due to the current situation, it’s more important than ever that we can get in touch with you to send travel updates ahead of your trip.

  • Check the latest travel advice from the governments in your own country and your destination country.

  • ALL passengers are required to complete COVID-19 mandatory government forms and check latest government info before travelling as quarantine rules may apply at short notice. You must check our Coronavirus Essential Travel information here. Please be aware that official advice may change quickly so it’s important to keep up-to-date.

  • Check you haven’t packed more luggage than you’re allowed to bring. You can bring two pieces of luggage (up to 85cm long) and one piece of hand luggage in Standard and Standard Premier. In Business Premier, you can bring three pieces of luggage and one piece of hand luggage.

  • Don’t forget your passport or national ID card – as usual, you’ll need one or the other to travel.

  • Make sure everyone travelling with you has a face mask covering their nose and mouth, ready to wear at the station and throughout the journey.

Please stay home if you feel unwell. If you’re not able to travel, you won’t lose out: you can find out more about the options available to you here.

We’re making our trains safer

Before every journey our trains are deep cleaned. We are taking special care to ensure all the following areas are disinfected:
