What is Eurostar Standard?

Eurostar Standard class offers an easy, no-fuss way to travel from city to city in Europe. It’s our entry-level fare, with all the essentials covered for a smooth, stress-free journey. With flexible Eurostar tickets that you can change up to 1 hour before departure, plus excellent on-board services, we're all about making your journey effortlessly smooth.

Whether you’re heading for a weekend in Paris or a last-minute trip to Brussels, Eurostar Standard gives you everything you need to simply hop on board and go.

What to expect in Eurostar Standard

Flexible fares you won’t find anywhere else

We want to make train travel a no-brainer. So we’ve made sure Eurostar is one of the most flexible ways to travel around Europe.

All Eurostar Standard tickets are fully exchangeable with no fee as many times as you want up to one hour before departure. If your new ticket is more expensive, you will pay the difference. If your new ticket is cheaper, you will not receive a refund of the difference. You can also get a refund up to 7 days before travel for €/£25, helping you book early with confidence.

Luggage allowance

We offer a generous Eurostar luggage allowance, including 2 large bags (up to 85cm long on routes to and from London and 75cm on all other routes), plus 1 piece of hand luggage for no extra charge. To top it off, there are no weight limits or liquid restrictions, so you’re free to pack that extra bit and bring a bottle of bubbles for the journey!

If you're travelling with kids or babies, pushchairs and prams can come on board for free, but they must be folded before you hop on and stored throughout the journey.
