Departing from Bruges train station
Bruges station is located about 1.5 km from the city centre - around a 20-minute walk from the main square (Markt). Using public transport to get there is easy, with De Lijn buses (lines 1 and 2) stopping just outside the station.
When to arrive
Please arrive 20 minutes before departure to ensure you have enough time to find the right platform and board your SNCB train. Train doors close 30 seconds before departure.

Station facilities
Bruges station has free wi-fi, luggage lockers, a left-luggage office, and a few food options including a café, shop, and vending machines - handy for a quick pit stop before taking your train.
Changing trains in Brussels​ to London
When you arrive in Brussels-Midi/Zuid, follow these steps:
- Go to the end of the platform.
- Take the exit into the concourse.
- Follow the signs for platforms 1 and 2 to the Channel terminal.
- You’ll need to arrive well before the ticket gates close. Ticket gates close:
• 30 minutes before departure in Eurostar Standard and Plus
• 15 minutes before departure in Eurostar Premier - Scan your ticket's QR code and go through security checks with your luggage.
- Get your required travel documents checked.
- Board your train to London.

Arriving at St Pancras International station
Your train will arrive right in the heart of London at St Pancras International, one of the most elegant stations in the world. As border checks take place before departure, you can simply hop off the train and leave the station.
St Pancras International is well connected to Underground lines and buses. There's also a black cab stand right outside and King's Cross station is just across the road if you have a connecting train.

Typically, the train journey from Bruges to London takes 3 hours 45 minutes. When you view the available tickets, you'll be able to see the length of the journey for each departure time, along the time allowed for you to catch your connecting train.

If your Eurostar train is delayed:
Please take the next SNCB train that suits your plans. Your SNCB ticket is valid for any train on your travel date. If you think you may miss the last SNCB train of the day, please talk to the Eurostar train manager. They'll give you a proof of delay, so you can catch an SNCB train the next day at no extra cost.
If your SNCB train is delayed:
If you miss your connecting Eurostar train, we’ll help you get to your final destination free of charge. Just speak to a member of staff on your delayed SNCB train. They'll provide a form to prove you missed your Eurostar train due to the delay.

Please note that Eurostar and SNCB tickets are separate contracts of transport. If there's a delay, each part of your journey is treated separately.
This means any compensation will be based only on the leg that was delayed, according to that train operator’s policy - not on the total delay at your final destination. Eurostar is responsible for delays on the Eurostar leg, and SNCB is responsible for delays on the SNCB leg. If you experience a delay, you’ll need to contact the relevant train operator directly to make a claim.
