Eurostar Chooses New Media Buying Agency

Eurostar, the high-speed train operator that links the UK, France and Belgium, today (27.09.05) announced that it had chosen Vizeum as its new media planning and buying agency.
The agency was chosen after a highly competitive selection process, co-ordinated by independent consultancy Billetts, which began in early summer this year and saw a long list of agencies interested in the account reduced to a shortlist of five.
Vizeum is expected to fully replace incumbent agency MGOMD from January 1st 2006, but will work on some detailed media planning prior to this date. The multi-million pound account, awarded for the next three years, will focus on Eurostar's move in 2007 from Waterloo International to its new London home at St. Pancras International.
The switch to St Pancras International will see fastest London-Paris journey times cut to 2 hours 15 minutes, London-Brussels reduced to 1 hour 51 minutes and London-Lille just 1 hour 20 minutes.
