Aime La Plagne

Just 15 km from the Moûtiers in the Tarentaise valley, Aime-La-Plagne (1250 - 3250 m) enjoys a beautifully natural setting with a view of the famous Mont Blanc. Welcome to ski paradise: Aime-La-Plagne together with its neighbours Les Arcsmakes up the Paradiski domain, with 425 km marked pistes and some of the best off piste areas in the Alps, such as the Bellecôte peak and the Friolin which are accessible by the Vanoise Express cable car. The six high stations at the foot of the pistes are perfect for all the family, and for all kinds of wintersports acitivity: Aime-La-Plagne (2100 m), Belle Plagne (2050 m), Plagne Villages/Soleil (2050 m), Plagne Bellecôte (1930 m), Plagne Centre (1970 m), and Plagne 1800 (1800 m).

The Basilica of Saint Martin in Aime-La-Plagne is the oldest standing monument in Savoy, built in the 11th century. In stark contrast, you'll also find modern architecture in Aime-La-Plagne: you can't miss the creation known as the "snow liner" which was built in the 60s, inspired by Tibetan temple design. Check out the fabulous view from the terrace at the top, which looks towards Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Western Europe.

As well as skiing and snowboarding you can go ice-skating, explore the pistes by bobsleigh or toboggan, or do some walking or bigfoot.
If you're after an adrenaline rush, no problem. You'll find quadbiking, snowmobiling, paragliding and heliskiing on offer in Aime-La-Plagne or get your kicks in the snowpark or on the Big Air Bag (an acrobatic sport where the landing is equipped with - you got it - a big air bag). Have a go on the most high tech bobsleigh run in France, you can reach speeds of over 130 km/h… During the Olympic Games in Albertville in 1992, the great Bobsleigh, Luge and Skeleton champions tried their luck here.
Before you tackle Mont Blanc, test your climbing skills at the 22m high artificial "Tower of Ice".

This ski paradise is also full of "apres-ski" options. With bars and clubs, bowling, concerts, and many "happy hours"… you won't run out of nightlife. Aime-La-Plagne celebrates artistic and fun entertainment during Urban Plagne, a summer festival of urban culture and sport which attracts an international crowd. There's now a Winter Urban too for all the snow bunnies who like a bit of culture.
