Explore enchanting Lille and see how much it has to offer
Lille impressively rivals Paris in terms of its cultural and architectural charms.
Striking Cultural Attractions
The Musee de la Resistance is a historically symbolic museum which memorialises those who fought for liberty. The Musee d'Histoire Naturelle features a host of mammals, birds, and skeletons; the exhibition of stuffed endangered or extinct species is a highlight.
Visit the Vieille Bourse (the old stock exchange), constructed in the seventeenth century and the architectural apex of the city. The Cathedrale Notre-Dame de la Treille, a neo-gothic cathedral, features a central section covered with a stunning translucent veil of white marble.
Lille's open market, Marché de Wazemmes, open every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday morning, is certainly worth exploring. Lille also possesses far from a paucity of alluring parks; the Jardin des Plantes is particularly charming.
