When travelling with us, kids under 12 years old need to be with a responsible person aged 16 or older.
We’re happy to welcome children between 12 and 15 years old (inclusive) who are travelling on their own, as long as they’ve got a completed Eurostar Unaccompanied Minor Form, signed by their parent or legal guardian.
It’ll also need to be signed by the responsible person (aged 18 or over) at the station, in the presence of a member of the Eurostar team.
Your little traveller will need to keep this signed form with them throughout their journey and show it to train staff if they’re asked.
We’ll also ask the responsible adult to stay at the station and be contactable until the train has left the station.
Whether your child is travelling alone or with an adult, they’ll need to have all documents required by the authorities. It’s a good idea to check with your destination country’s embassy or consulate for entry and travel requirements.
Young travellers between 16 and 18 can travel on their own freely, as long as they’ve got all the usual travel paperwork and meet all the legal requirements.
This service is not available on the direct route between London or Ashford and Lyon, Avignon and Marseille.
