At Eurostar (U.K.) Ltd we take your training and development very seriously, but, at the same time, we like to approach it with playfulness, creativity and innovation in order to satisfy even the most curious of learners. Whether you require skills and knowledge training to allow you to perform better in your role, or whether you want comprehensive personal and management development programmes, we have something for everyone.

Within your first week you should expect to have a conversation with your line manager to discuss and agree your goals and objectives for your first six months, along with any training and development you may need to help you achieve them.

We really are! We like to make your development our priority right from day one. Be a traveller with us!
Within your first few weeks you will be invited to attend our three-day company induction – Introducing Eurostar. Here you will learn all about the organisation; you will meet a range of colleagues and senior managers who will tell you all about our company, our brand, our product and our ways of working. You even get the chance to be a traveller on board Eurostar with an educational day trip to Lille, one of our exciting destinations.
Hit the target
After a successful first six months of being at Eurostar, you can expect to have a formal performance review with your line manager. You will agree some targets and objectives for the coming year and you will also agree a personal Training and Development Plan that will help you to be more focused on having the best skills, knowledge and behaviour to help you meet, or even exceed, your goals!

We want you to develop and grow during your career at Eurostar and our Training and Development Teams have designed a whole range of workshops, programmes and learning solutions to help you do just that.
There are dedicated training teams at our Contact Centre in Ashford, at our Depot in White City, and for our International Terminals. They are around to help you obtain and develop the skills and knowledge that you require to perform your role. If you work in one of our office locations then your line manager in conjunction with the Organisational Development Team will help you to achieve your goals and develop new skills.
Wherever you work in Eurostar, there will be something for you. Here are three ways in which we help our employees to develop in the workplace:
Personal Excellence is our key development programme for all employees. It is a modular programme allowing you to pick and choose from modules which cover such subjects as assertiveness skills, personal motivation and understanding time management.
Management Excellence will help any manager – new or more experienced – develop skills and behaviours and have a better understanding of the processes and responsibilities at Eurostar. Again, this programme is modular in approach, allowing you to select those topics which are of most importance to you.
Leadership Excellence is for our most senior people and highest performers. Whether you need to unlock the remaining 5% of your potential, or really stretch your skills and abilities as a top manager, we can help you do this!
