Bikes on Trains

If you’d like to take your bike on Eurostar, here are your options:
1. Fold it up
If you can fold or dismantle your bike and place it in a bike bag with the saddle, handlebars and wheels removed, you can carry it on board yourself as part of your luggage allowance, provided the overall size is no bigger than a normal suitcase.
2. Reserve a place for your bike on your train
On our London, Paris and Brussels routes, subject to how much space is available you can reserve a place for your bike on the train you are travelling on.
To make a reservation or find out more call us on 08705 850 850 or visit the EuroDespatch Centre in person at St Pancras International. Charges are £20 one way and you’ll need to quote your Eurostar reference or show your ticket.
3. Use our registered baggage service
Our registered baggage service operates between London and Paris, Brussels and Lille. It does not guarantee that your bike will travel on the same train as you but we will do our utmost to send it on the next available service, space permitting. However, our guarantee is that your bike will be available to collect at your Eurostar destination station within 24 hours after registration.
You can book this service on the day of travel or send your bike before your journey, so it will be ready to collect when you arrive.
Charges are £20 and you’ll need to show your Eurostar ticket or booking reference when you register. The charge is non-refundable but subject to availability it may be exchangeable before your departure date.
