London to Paris
As you board the gleaming carriages of the British Pullman train at London Victoria station, your steward will show you to your reserved seat. Sit back and enjoy a three-course lunch with wine and a glass of champagne as you travel to the Kentish coast.
Cross to France by shuttle and join your reserved day car of the Continental Wagons-Lits. After you have settled into your day car, enjoy a delicious four-course dinner, prepared by our skilled French chefs. Arrive in Paris late evening.
Paris to London
Boarding the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express at Paris Gare de l'Est Station, a delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the Channel. After the channel crossing by shuttle, join the cream and umber carriages of the Pullman train for the journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of champagne is served to you at your table as you watch the gentle scenery of Kent pass by and await your arrival at London’s Victoria station.
Venice-Paris-London
This unique rail journey is only available starting from Venice. Perhaps the perfect excuse to fly out, spend a few days admiring the splendour that is Venice, then take the scenic, more belle époque route home?
Day 1
Board the Wagons-Lits carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express at Venice Santa Lucia station. Your steward will show you to your private compartment and attend you throughout your journey A three-course luncheon in one of the beautifully restored restaurant cars will precede an afternoon gazing at the beautiful passing scenery before afternoon tea is served in your compartment.
At dinner time, although it’s not a prerequisite, black-tie may add to your sense of occasion. Choose your aperitif in the Bar Car before taking your seat in another of the magnificent restaurant cars for a leisurely four-course dinner, prepared on board by our skilled French chefs. After dinner you may want to linger in the Bar a while, before retiring to your compartment which will now have been transformed into a cosy bedroom.
Day 2
After breakfast, served in your compartment at a time to suit you, the train arrives into Paris Gare de l’Est. If you’re travelling to London, you can take the opportunity of the 45 minutes halt to stretch your legs. A delicious brunch will be served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing.
Join the cream and umber carriages of the Pullman train for the final journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of champagne will be served to you at your table as you watch the gentle scenery pass by and await your arrival at London Victoria station.
