Making your connection to Lyon

The simplest way to connect to Lyon is via Lille. All it takes is one change of platform within Lille Europe station and you’ll be travelling on to Lyon Part-Dieu station on a TGV before you know it. Journeys to Lyon via Lille take around 5 hours in total.

As a Railteam hub, Lille Europe boasts English speaking Railteam staff at two information points within the station, station announcements in English as well as French, and all Train Managers on TGVs departing Lille Europe are English speaking. What’s more, Railteam’s “hop on the next train” service allows you to take the next available high-speed Railteam train if you miss your connection due to disrupted services.

You can also connect in Paris by taking RER line D (or a taxi) from Paris Gare du Nord to Paris Gare de Lyon. The typical journey time from London to Lyon via Paris is around 5h25.
