Paris Nord extension update
Modernising Paris station for a smoother journey

Over the next few months you'll see various renovations in Paris Gare du Nord, all intended to smooth your journey and give things a timely makeover.

The aim is to open up the space between check-in and the departure lounge to ease your journey through security and passport controls, particularly at busy times.

The first change you'll notice is our brand new ticket office which opened in October, soon followed by improvements to minimise queues through check-in and security.

See what it'll look like once the works are completed in May.
When are the works taking place?
From October 2011 to May 2012.

How will these works affect my journey?
From 15 December 2011 the only way to access the Eurostar check-in area will be via the stairs and escalator opposite platform 17. If you have restricted mobility you can still use the lifts.

Will check-in times change?
No. The most disruptive parts of the works are now complete so queuing times should return to normal.

Will the check-in process change during the works?
Part of the works will involve moving check-in gates but there will be plenty of signage to direct you. Staff will also be on hand to offer help and answer any questions.

Why are these changes taking place?
The aim is to give you a more seamless experience from check-in, through the departure lounge and on to the train.

The renovations will allow more space, smoother flow from check-in to boarding and a clearer display of information.
