As if by Magic - Eurostar turns Castle Class into First Class on its direct services to Disneyland Resort Paris

  • 1st class return fares from £134 return for an adult and £94 for a child
  • First Class Launches 1 April 2005

Eurostar, the fast passenger train which links the UK with France and Belgium will transform its catering offering on its daily direct services between London/Ashford and Disneyland Resort Paris, starting on Friday 1 April 2005.

The popular, daily Eurostar service, which runs each morning direct to the resort and returns each day in the evening, formerly provided “Castle Class” in its first class carriages. This was a cold, boxed meal rather than the full First Class hot catering at seat along with the dedicated customer service provided on its other direct services.

Castle Class was offered at a lower price than First Class and gave families the roomier seats with the boxed meal. Close monitoring of the offering over the past year and customer feedback has revealed that there is a big demand for First Class, both for individuals booking directly or for tour-operators packaging Eurostar travel and accommodation to the resort. The change means there is now first-class consistency across all Eurostar services.

First class fares on the Disney service start from £134 return for an adult and £94 return for a child aged 4-11 years (children under the age of 4 travel free of charge.) Standard class fares start from £59 return. There is also the advantage of being able to book one-way Standard Class and the other First Class.

Disneyland Resort Paris is only 2 hours 50 minutes from London and just 1 hour 50 minutes from Ashford, in Kent. The train station, which Eurostar arrives in at the resort, Marne la Vallee, is only a stone’s throw to the gates of the Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios. On 9 April, the resort will launch Space Mountain: Mission 2 - not to be missed!
