Eurostar "Delighted" by Olympic result
- Eurostar Train To Be Named “London 2012”
Eurostar, the high-speed passenger train service that links the UK, France and Belgium, said it was delighted that London would be hosting the 2012 Olympics.
Paul Charles, Director of Communications, commented: “London deserves this victory and will be a terrific host for millions of international travellers. We look forward to transporting many thousands of travellers from France and Belgium for this historic event. Paris may have lost the Olympic race but it remains as one of the most popular destinations for UK travellers.”

To celebrate the result, Eurostar will be naming one of its trains “London 2012” in a ceremony at Waterloo International at 15.15 this afternoon. James Bidwell, Chief Executive of Visit London, will help to unveil the train.
