Eurostar lands prestigious Business Travel World Award
Eurostar has been awarded Business Travel World's best 'Rail Network' award at the magazine's 2004 business travel awards. Eurostar beat off competition form Virgin Trains to win the coveted trophy. The award was presented to Richard Brown, Eurostar's Chief Executive at the Business Travel World Awards ceremony on Monday night (26 January 2004).
The judges praised Eurostar's product offering and its "commitment to business travellers". The judges also recognized the transformation in Eurostar journey times and the increase in punctuality levels since the opening of the UK high speed line in September 2003. Last week, Eurostar was awarded the Best Rail Operator (UK, Europe and Long Haul) at the Travel Weekly Globe Awards.
