Paris and Brussels tube and bus tickets for sale

-- Eurostar makes it even easier to get around Paris, Brussels and London

Eurostar, the high-speed rail service that links UK, France and Belgium, is now offering its travellers the opportunity to buy public transport tickets for all its core destinations directly on board the trains.

RATP tube tickets (Réseau autonome des transports parisiens- Paris public transport system) and STIB tickets (Société des Transports Intercommunaux de Bruxelles – Brussels public transport system) are now available for sale on Eurostar. The move follows the recent introduction of Visitor Oyster cards for use in London.

This system allows Eurostar travellers to save time, avoiding the lengthy queues that might be experienced upon arrival on the continent to buy tube tickets. It also facilitates quicker connections onto a domestic train when a change of station is required. Tickets can either be bought in euros or pounds at travellers’ convenience.

Simon Montague, Eurostar’s Director of Communications, commented: “Selling Paris and Brussels tube and bus tickets and London’s Visitor Oyster cards on board really helps travellers to speed up the journey to their final destinations. Public transport is the best value option that allows them to save money for site-seeing and shopping, and helps travellers to reduce the environmental impact of their onward travel.”.
