Eurostar's 100 millionth traveller is David Kemp, 35, from Highgate in North London

Eurostar, the high-speed provider of carbon neutral journeys between the UK and the continent, today welcomed its 100 millionth traveller, David Kemp (aged 35) from Highgate in London.  He was accompanied by his French wife Stéphanie and daughter, Mia (aged 2).

The family were met at St Pancras International by Eurostar’s Chief Executive, Richard Brown.  There was a celebratory ceremony at the station before they boarded the 09h00 to Paris with over 700 other travellers leaving the UK for the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The Kemps were travelling to Paris, then by TGV to Lyon where they are attending a family wedding.  Their Eurostar and TGV tickets were upgraded and they were presented with other treats and thoroughly pampered onboard the train.  David’s main prize was unlimited travel on Eurostar for a year.

Chief Executive, Richard Brown, said:  “We are delighted that David is the 100 millionth traveller.  David and his family are a real example of the “Eurostar Generation”, people whose lives have been changed as a result of our service.
